The Grace Effect

The Grace EffectHow the Power of One Life Can Reverse the Corruption of Unbelief

By Larry Taunton

"The Grace Effect: How the Power of One Life Can Reverse the Corruption of Unbelief" The Grace Effect, by Larry Taunton, will change your mind. Hitchens would've caused me to struggle to get through the book. As it was, the chapters on the history of the Ukraine were difficult. It is a great story and brings up a lot of questions about society as well as the injustices in society and especially in the realm of adoption. It is a great story and brings up a lot of questions about society as well as the injustices in society and especially in the realm of adoption. The Grace Effect, Taunton provides many excellent discussion starters with which to engage those the reader may encounter who question the validity of the Christian faith or who are searching for an understanding of grace. I feel like I have learned a lot and am more informed than before on atheism and socialism.

Moments of TruthUnleashing God's Word One Day at a Time

By John MacArthur

January is "Beginnings", February is "Love", March is "The Cross and Easter", and my favorite, June is "Marriage". John MacArthur really does a great job with each of these special devotionals. This is really a wonderful book for devotion, at any age! Grab this! This book would make a great gift for family and friends or it could even be purchased for personal enjoyment. I highly encourage you to get a copy and see how God can use it in your life.
They are truths that are applicable to our lives and make you really think. I really liked that. It forced me to really get into the Scripture he was referring to and dig deep. It is only by seeing life through our relationship with the Father that we will access and experience the spiritual depths he designed us for. You would Love this.

The Lucado Inspirational ReaderHope and Encouragement for Your Everyday Life

By Max Lucado

This book is some of his best writings from different books througout all is books he as ever written. If you love Max Lucado's writings you will love this book, Max Lucado never fails to impress me with his writings, this one book I will treasure forever. ave not run across in any other reading. His style was friendly and personable and I would be comfortable giving this book to anyone as a gift, here are excerpts from his most loved & popular books, and they are catergorized in different subjects (love, hope, etc). This isn't the type of book that I would sit down and read cover to cover. Since the sections are short, it would be great for little bits of reading at a time.

A Shot of Faith (to the Head)

A Shot of Faith (to the Head)Be a Confident Believer in an Age of Cranky Atheists

By Mitch Stokes

The book wasn't so easy to read, engaging and really makes you look inward to your own beliefs to better understand and better come to a conclusion of where you stand in comparison to others. I do suggest that you start reading at the beginning to fully feel the force of his philosophy at the end.  I would still recommend Stokes' book because we as Christians need to learn how to defend and understand our faith to some degree, especially in the relativistic, secular humanistic society we live in today. While this book is clearly embracing Christianity, it will be an interesting read even for someone who does not believe in Christianity because the book lists the most important and strongest arguments against Atheism that the author can think of.

The Christian Zombie Killers Handbook

The Christian Zombie Killers HandbookSlaying the Living Dead Within

By Jeff Kinley

The book takes on 2 forms, episodes and chapters. The episodes are a fiction book about how zombies have entered our modern day life, as seen through the eyes of Ben Forman... I liked the nonfiction parts of "The Christian Zombie Killers Handbook" much more than the fiction - very uncommon for me. I am a very big fan of the horror genre, more specifically books and movies relating to Zombies. If you want to skip the horror fiction portion of this book, read the chapters and skip the 'sessions'. The story was engaging however, surprisingly to me since I generally don't enjoy horror books.  I think it's very helpful, especially to people who aren't used to theological books. e. If you are not willing to be pushed around mentally and theologically, then go for some kinda inspirational books, Max Lucado maybe... The message is one that is relevant to the times and culture.
